Can Chiropractic Help with Muscle Pain?

Posted on 06.25.18 |

Keller TX chiropractorHas your weight lifting or cross-training routine left you with sore muscles or out-of-control spasms? Maybe you have a shoulder issue you’ve been working around for the past few months? If Epsom salt baths and short intervals of rest have not cleared up the problem, it may be time to seek out a whole-body specialist. Many people think chiropractic care can only help with back and neck pain, but the truth is that chiropractic adjustments can help the whole body function and heal itself more efficiently…muscles included!

Are you in pain from your workouts? Keller TX chiropractor Dr. Cody Doyle can help you make sure your muscles, nerves, and spine are working in harmony for optimal function. Call our Roanoke practice at 817-767-5430 to make an appointment.

If you’re serious about fitness, you know that a certain amount of pain is part of the process. Good workouts should push you to your limits, and muscle soreness the next day is usually the hallmark of an effective workout. There’s a difference between good pain and bad pain, but even good pain can be out-of-proportion if your nervous system is not functioning properly.

Muscles are fibrous bands of tissue that help the body move and maintain position. How and what those muscles do is dependent on the messages they receive and send through the nervous system. Impulses sent from the brain communicate with each muscle through a complex network of nerve pathways. Every impulse involved in your workout is carried through the spinal cord to each end point in the body. All muscle function and recovery is dependent on the nervous system functioning properly. Blocked nerve pathways can prevent your muscles from functioning and healing themselves properly.

You don’t have to be experiencing back pain to have problems resulting from spinal misalignment. Misaligned vertebrae, also known as vertebral subluxations, can compress nerve pathways. This can inhibit communication within your central nervous system and suppress muscle function. Such subluxations can result from spinal compression, injury, muscle tension, or even just sitting improperly for long hours of the day. A visit to a chiropractor can help you ensure your workouts and other routines aren’t leading to poor mechanical function of the spine and other parts of your musculo-skeletal system.

Fascia Damage and Muscle Strains

Dr. Doyle has successfully treated many patients with sports-related and sports-type conditions, such as plantar fasciitis, tendonitis, muscle strains, and more. Fascia damage tends to respond well to myofascial release therapy and other integrative therapies. Acupuncture can also be helpful with musculo-skeletal problems and muscle spasms, as it is known to improve circulatory and nerve function.

Sleep Tips for Reducing Back and Neck Pain

Posted on 06.21.18 |

Argyle TX chiropracticIt’s been long known that pain can affect your sleep, but did you know that your sleep ergonomics can make your pain worse, too? This may seem obvious to anyone who’s ever tried to sleep on an airplane or a too-soft guest bed, but it may not be readily apparent if you’re used to your own cozy bed.

Most people with back and neck pain understand that the type of mattress you sleep on (and the age of the mattress) can have an impact on how much pain you wake up with. Fewer people are aware that the position you sleep in can make a difference, as well.

Are you looking for Argyle TX chiropractic care? If your back or body pain is not responding to traditional medical interventions, Dr. Cody Doyle may be able to help you. Call our office at 817-767-5430 to make an appointment.

If you have back pain, there are few things you can do to help make sure you are keeping your spine properly aligned when you sleep.

Do not tuck your chin. It may seem natural to “go fetal” when you are feeling cold in bed, but tucking your chin downward elongates the back of the neck. A more ideal placement is to keep your chin up, at the same angle as you use when standing and looking into a mirror. If your pillow is too high, this can also cause you to tuck your chin, so pay attention to how you wake in the morning. You may need a lower pillow if you frequently wake up with your chin tucked.

Side sleeper? Use a pillow between the knees. When you lie on your side, the upper knee has a tendency to want to make contact with the bed. This shifts the hip and pulls the lumbar spine out of proper alignment. If you sleep with your knees separated this way, and you are more likely to wake up with lower back pain. It’s always better to sleep with the knees stacked one on top of the other. If this is not comfortable, use a pillow or blanket between the knees to keep your spine straight.

Sleep on your back to reduce pain. The most common recommendation for back pain is to sleep flat on your back. It’s simply easier to keep the spine straight when lying flat this way. If back sleeping is not comfortable, you may need to find a small pillow to put either (1) under the knees, or (2) under the small of your back. Try those two suggestions before you give up and give in to the desire to switch back to stomach- or side-sleeping.

Pick your pillow with care. A nice thing about buying new pillows these days is that rather than indicating “soft, medium, or firm,” the packaging suggests that the pillow is best for side sleepers, back sleepers, or stomach sleepers. If you’ve had the same pillow for many years, it’s definitely time to pick out a new one! Pillows should be replaced every six months, except for some gel or foam pillows that can last up to two years. Having a “fresh” pillow that is made for your sleep position can help make sure you hold your head and neck in an ideal placement when you sleep.

Avoid stomach-sleeping, if possible. Stomach sleeping tends to be the worst position for spinal alignment. Depending on the type of pillow and mattress you use, it may make you more at risk of compressing the lower back or elongating the neck. At the very least, stomach sleeping causes you to have the head turned to either the right or the left for hours at a time, which isn’t good.

Many people are able to change their preferred sleep position with a little bit of effort. If back and neck pain are something you struggle with, training yourself to sleep on your back may make a big difference.

If you need Argyle TX chiropractic care, Dr. Cody Doyle can help! Call our Roanoke-based office at 817-767-5430 to make an appointment.

“Pins and Needles” May Indicate a Pinched Nerve

Posted on 05.16.18 |

pinched nerve, Roanoke TXDo you get “pins and needles” at inexplicable times? When accompanied by painful or burning sensations, or numbness, this may indicate you have a pinched nerve.

We all know that common pins and needles sensation. It happens when you sit too long in an odd position too long or lie against your arm when sleeping. Medically, this sensation is referred to as paresthesia, and it’s usually not something to be alarmed about. Nerve pathways travel from the brain, through the spinal cord, and out to every part of the body. When a nerve or bundle of nerves is compressed, it doesn’t function properly and you may lose sensation in an area of the body. Once the compression has stopped, you feel that curious paresthesia feeling as the nerves “wake up” and restore proper function. However, when paresthesia occurs unexpectedly or randomly in the course of what should be normal sensations—that can be cause for alarm.

Do you get pins and needles and inexplicable numbness? You may have a pinched nerve that could escalate to potentially painful nerve pain symptoms. For treatment for a pinched nerve, Roanoke TX, contact Doyle Chiropractic and Acupuncture online or call (817) 767-5430.

What Causes Pinched Nerves?

A pinched nerve occurs when surrounding tissues apply too much pressure to a nerve pathway. This can be caused by bone or cartilage, such as in the case of a herniated disc in the spine, or it may be caused by tendons and muscles, such as with carpal tunnel syndrome in the wrist. Pinched nerves belong to a class of nerve conditions referred to as peripheral neuropathy.

Symptoms of a pinched nerve may include:

  • Paresthesia
  • Sharp, burning, or radiating pain
  • Numbness
  • Muscle weakness

There are several known conditions that can contribute to the potential for developing a pinched nerve:

  • Degenerative or rheumatoid arthritis
  • Prior injury
  • Sports, hobbies, or work that relies on repeated movements
  • Being overweight

If a nerve is pinched for only a short time, it may resolve itself naturally and not be an issue. However, if it happens repeatedly, there’s a chance it may lead to worsening pain and an inability to maintain your natural range of movement.

Risk Factors

Oddly enough, women tend to suffer from pinched nerves more so than men—especially carpal tunnel syndrome. Pinched nerves can start in pregnancy when weight is gained and more stress is put onto the joints and the spine. Any type of medical problem that keeps you lying down for a long period of time can also increase the risk of nerve compression.

There are few medical conditions that increase your risk of pinched nerve, as well. For both men and women, (1) diabetes, (2) thyroid conditions, (3) bone spurs, and (4) obesity can all put you at greater risk of developing a pinched nerve.

How a Chiropractor Can Help

The spine is the basis for all movement in the body. If poor alignment of the spine is behind your nerve compression, chiropractic adjustments may help realign your musculoskeletal system for normal healthy function. If your compressed nerve is caused by an injury, arthritis, or repetitive movements, Dr. Doyle may suggest improving function using premodulated muscle stimulation (strategic electrical stimulation), ultrasound, physical therapy exercises, or acupuncture. Since there are many nerves in the body that can become compressed, and many causes behind it, treatments will vary based on the best functional solution for your symptoms.

Call our office at (817) 767-5430 to make an appointment for a consultation for a potentially pinched nerve, Roanoke TX, and Dr. Cody Doyle will assess your symptoms.

The Unexpected Benefits of Chiropractic Care

Posted on 04.13.18 |

Justin, TX chiropractorMost patients seek out chiropractic care for pain management or neck and back issues—but they often discover unexpected health benefits in the process! This is no surprise to us, as chiropractic treatment is based on the premise that the whole body works better when the spine and musculoskeletal system is in proper alignment.

When the vertebrae and discs are all working together correctly, the spinal cord and nervous system function better, to keep your body running like it should. For example, patients often report improved digestive, immune, reproductive, and cardiovascular health.

Are you struggling with pain and medical conditions that hinder your quality of life? Roanoke, Keller, and Justin, TX chiropractor Cody Doyle would love the opportunity to help. Call our office at 817-767-5430 to learn more about chiropractic care.

Better Digestive Health

Chiropractic adjustments can’t take the place of good dietary choices, but they may help ease the symptoms of disorders such as acid reflux, heartburn, or irritable bowel syndrome. Sometimes digestive malfunctions can be caused or worsened by compressed nerves, stemming from poor spinal alignment. When proper spinal alignment is achieved, nerve signals can more effectively regulate digestive functions. Many patients who come in for back and neck problems are pleasantly surprised when their digestive woes become less frequent or less severe.

Improved Immune Function

Patients with environmental allergies and poor immune function often respond positively to chiropractic and complementary therapies, (such as acupuncture and myofascial release therapy). Autoimmune diseases and severe allergies cannot be cured, of course, but improved blood flow and nervous system function can strengthen the body’s natural defenses.

Reproductive Health

Did you know that the American Pregnancy Association recommends chiropractic treatment for women who struggle with infertility? All of our organ systems rely on messages that travel through the spine, and that includes the hormones that induce ovulation and encourage conception. Chiropractic adjustments unblock compressed nerves and increase blood circulation to the reproductive organs. This also means men suffering from low testosterone and erectile dysfunction may experience better blood flow and circulation with regular chiropractic therapy.

Better Respiration and Cardiovascular Health

The respiratory airway, lungs, and heart rely on messages to and from the brain, which all travel through the spine. When that message-way is not impeded by subluxations in the spine, cardiovascular health and lung function often improve. Some medical conditions, such as asthma and high blood pressure, have been shown to improve with chiropractic treatments. WebMD reported on a study that provides evidence that a specific type of chiropractic adjustment can have the same effect as a dose of blood pressure medicine.

A Path Toward Wellness

Spinal adjustments are not a cure for conditions like infertility, high blood pressure, or acid reflux—but they can help your whole body function and heal properly. When musculoskeletal problems are accompanied by other medical conditions, many patients find that their capacity for healing improves in ways they did not anticipate.

If you have conditions that cause you ongoing pain or distress, chiropractic treatments may give your body the extra health boost it needs to respond better to healthy lifestyle choices and medical interventions. Dr. Doyle has helped thousands of patients achieve better health through chiropractic adjustments and complementary treatments, such as myofascial release therapy and acupuncture.

If you are ready to try a new approach to healing your body, call our office at 817-767-5430 to make an appointment with Roanoke, Keller, and Justin, TX chiropractor Dr. Cody Doyle.

5 Signs You Should Give Chiropractic a Try

Posted on 04.4.18 |

woman receiving chiropractic treatmentAre you in pain? Whether it’s in your neck, back, shoulder, leg, arm, or other location—there’s always the possibility you might benefit from chiropractic care. There’s a common misperception that chiropractic therapy only treats back problems, but that’s far from the truth!

Chiropractic adjustments have proven an effective treatment for the pain associated with many medical conditions. Trophy Club chiropractor Dr. Cody Doyle has successfully treated patients suffering from: back and neck conditions, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, peripheral neuropathy, bursitis, tendonitis, and even allergies!

The human spine is the steering wheel and central nerve pathway for the whole body. Any dysfunction in the musculoskeletal movement of the spine can have far-reaching consequences. If you are in pain and are experiencing any of the follow symptoms—it might be time to try a chiropractor!

1. Your Pain is Constant or Spreading

No one should feel they have to live with constant or ongoing pain. An injury that can’t seem to heal, despite following a doctor’s advice, may be a sign you need to seek out a different type of treatment. If your pain seems to be spreading, can also be a sign of improper spinal alignment. If your pain started only in your neck, for example, but now includes numbness or tingling in your wrists or extremities, there’s a good chance they are connected. Pain that doesn’t go away on its own should always be considered a serious situation, no matter what the history or age of the patient.

2. You are Getting Headaches

Migraines and “stress headaches” are often caused by problems in the back and neck. If you’ve noticed more headaches coinciding with the onset of your pain, they may be connected. Both your body and head pain may be treatable with proper spinal alignment.

3. Low Energy Levels/Poor Sleep

There are many ways that injury and dysfunction can deprive you of energy: poor adrenal function, insomnia, an overstressed nervous system. Many patients report feeling better rested and getting their energy back with proper realignment of the spine.

4. You’re Always Sick

Allergies, sinus congestion, and immune function can be improved with proper nervous system function and mechanical balance in the body. Every system in the body is affected by the spinal pathway and that includes the immune system! For example, spinal misalignments and subluxations (compressed nerve pathways) can cause neural dysfunctions that weaken your immune response.

5. Constant Use of Painkillers

If you are in so much pain that you are taking pain medication several times a day, this is not normal! If you feel that you can’t function and get through the day without taking the maximum recommended dosage of ibuprofen or naproxen, for example, you need try something new!

Many first-time patients of chiropractic care come to us wondering how spinal manipulation can cure a problem with inflammation in the knee, for example. The spine is more than just a support system for the back; it is the foundation for all mechanical function for the whole body. Furthermore, the spinal cord is the message relay system between all parts of the body and signals to and from the brain. Correcting an imbalance or dysfunction of the spine can help your body “communicate,” function, and heal itself properly.

Holistic Therapy

As a practitioner of alternative and complementary medicine, Dr. Doyle ascribes to a holistic approach to healing. What does this mean? Quite simply, it means that sometimes you have to look at the whole body to get to the bottom of dysfunction and pain.

We all readily accept, for example, that improper footwear can lead to pain in the lower back and neck, because the musculoskeletal system is a functioning whole. Holistic medicine takes this a step further and looks at the interconnectedness of multiple body systems to promote healing and proper functioning. To heal a problem with the knee, for example, you may have to look beyond the knee itself, and consider how the knee is being used, how the leg and foot are being used, what you are putting into your body, and other factors.

You Don’t Have to Be Limited by Your Medical Condition!

If you’ve been to multiple doctors over the years and have become resigned to your problem being a permanent condition–don’t give up hope! Dr. Doyle has helped many patients heal and reduce their pain. You, too, can become more active in your life with the help of combined alternative therapies. Visit our Roanoke office or give us a call to find out more about Dr. Doyle’s unique approach to healing.

I Hate Needles! Can We Skip the Acupuncture?

Posted on 03.2.18 |

Keller, TX chiropractic and acupunctureIn our practice, we’ve found acupuncture to be an excellent complement to chiropractic care, especially with pain management. We don’t recommend it with everyone, but it can be an excellent resource for making primary treatment more effective.

We occasionally get a patient with the question from above, and we get it! We understand if needles turn you off.  It may seem strange if you’ve never done it before, or maybe you just fear/hate getting injections. The good news is that acupuncture needles are nothing like the needles used for injections, vaccinations, or IVs. They are much thinner and do not cause the “little stick” of pain common to medical injections.

Are you in pain, despite medical interventions? Dr. Cody Doyle can help you heal your body and regain your full range of function. For Keller, TX chiropractic and acupuncture treatment, call us at 817-767-5430 to schedule a consultation.

Acupuncture Really Does Work!

Acupuncture is an interesting treatment because we don’t fully understand how it works. In its country of origin, traditional Chinese medicine theorizes it balances the flow of energy (what they call qi). It may also be a matter of stimulating the nervous system or activating the body to heal itself. Despite our lack of a thorough scientific understanding, we do know that acupuncture works!

There have been numerous scientific studies to indicate patients with various conditions show improvement when acupuncture treatments are initiated. A famous 2012 study endorsed by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) focused on back and neck pain, arthritis, shoulder pain, and chronic headaches—and found acupuncture had a measurable positive effect. It is so well accepted by modern mainstream medicine that it was accepted by the FDA way back in 1996, practitioners must go through a licensing process, and many insurers cover it.

Even though medical science doesn’t fully understand the mechanisms by which acupuncture improves some conditions, we’re certain someone will solve the mystery one day. Doctors began recommending aspirin and garlic for heart health long before we understood their effects. Acupuncture is similar. Given its measurable successes, if Dr. Doyle recommends acupuncture, we really hope you will try it, at least once!

How an Acupuncture Session Works

Acupuncture needles are very thin, and do not fully puncture the epidermis. They are only inserted into the top layer of the skin, and many people do not even register the sensation if they are not watching the process.

If Dr. Doyle recommends acupuncture, he will explain the purpose and process for your customized treatment. During the session, you will be given a gown to change into if necessary, and will be asked to sit or lie down so he can access the musculoskeletal points that will benefit from the treatment. He will insert the needles, and may manipulate them by twisting, or applying heat or gentle electrical pulses. The session usually lasts about 15-20 minutes at most. Some patients feel a noticeable positive effect right away, while others experience a gradual change, in conjunction with other treatments.

Dr. Doyle is a licensed and qualified practitioner who has helped thousands of patients end their pain and enjoy their lives again. For Keller, TX chiropractic and acupuncture, call us at 817-767-5430 to make an appointment.

Should You See a Chiropractor for Tendinitis of the Quadriceps?

Posted on 02.9.18 |

human running with knee painDo you have pain above your knee or at the knee joint during or after working out or performing repetitive actions? Is there swelling around the knee, or does it feel warm to the touch? You may have quadriceps tendinitis.

This type of injury tends to develop slowly over time and with continued intense use of the lower body.

If you suffer from knee pain and inflammation caused by tendinitis, Dr. Cody Doyle can help. He has over two decades of experience successfully treating patients with chiropractic therapy for tendinitis.

What causes quadriceps tendinitis?

Tendinitis can occur in any tendon, but it’s very common in the quads.

You may be familiar with the quadriceps, or quads for short. It is the muscle group on the front of the thigh. The muscles in the quads engage any time you use your leg, such as when walking,  running, or kneeling.

The quadriceps tendon connects the muscles to the kneecap, clinically called the patella. Overuse of the quadriceps with repetitive activity can damage the tendon and cause pain, as well as inflammation.

Extrinsic factors that lead to quads tendinitis include:

  • working out too hard or too long,
  • improper workout settings,
  • or improper footwear.

Quadriceps tendinitis is commonly seen in athletes who regularly or repetitively cycle, run, kick, or squat.

As for intrinsic factors:

  • skeletal alignment issues can contribute to tendinitis.
  • Advanced age,
  • being overweight,
  • and inflexibility can also lead to quadriceps tendinitis.

People who value their workouts or sports activities may be frustrated by the limitations and pain tendinitis causes. Workouts, athletics, and even daily tasks may become difficult to perform.

A proper diagnosis of tendinitis and guidance in treating your condition can help reduce pain and allow the tendon to heal. You can also do some things at home to help, such as icing the area, taping it properly, or wearing a brace.

Q&A About Chiropractic for Tendinitis

  • Do chiropractors help relieve tension in sore muscles?

Yes, and so much more. Tendinitis is actually not just sore muscles, it’s soreness of the tendon that attaches the quadriceps to the patella. Chiropractic treatment and acupuncture may reduce pain and help the healing process if you comply with Dr. Doyle’s professional advice.

  • How to treat tendinitis without medication?

Some over-the-counter pain relievers, both topical and indigestible, can help reduce pain and swelling. However, if you don’t want to use pain relievers, Dr. Doyle can provide treatment without medication. He may advise applying ice, resting your knee, and performing very specific exercises at home.

  • What causes tendinitis?

Good question! Tendinitis is usually caused by overwork or overuse of a muscle connected to the affected tendon. Stressing the tendon and associated muscle or muscle group can also occur when exercises are improperly performed. Another common issue is wearing shoes that do not provide sufficient support for the activity you perform.

  • How long does tendinitis last?

With treatment and reduced stress, a tendon can heal in approximately two to four weeks, for most patients. If you don’t seek help and limit stress on the tendon, your condition will worsen.

Recovery may take longer to heal. Long-term tendinitis is called “chronic tendinitis.” This condition normally takes longer than six weeks for recovery.

How Dr. Doyle Can Help

Do you have pain in above your knee or around your kneecap?

If you are in the Roanoke or Trophy Club area, Doyle Chiropractic and Acupuncture can help reduce your pain. Dr. Doyle will perform a thorough physical exam and discuss your symptoms before developing a treatment plan.

After diagnosis, Dr. Doyle can explain the cause of your tendinitis. He can also teach you strengthening exercises you can do at home during your healing process.

Treatment may include chiropractic care, acupuncture, complementary therapies, physical therapy, or a combination. With his help, you can experience less pain and heal properly.

Dr. Doyle has successfully treated quadricep tendinitis in many patients. He can prescribe treatment for the painful tendinitis of the knee, hip, ankle, and leg. Using combined integrative alternative therapies, he can help you heal and recover.

Myofascial Release Therapy

Posted on 02.7.18 |

myofascial release therapyAches and pains can be a side effect of aging or the byproduct of an active lifestyle, but you shouldn’t ignore chronic pain. If you have pain or stiffness that isn’t improving, instead of once again reaching for the heating pad or ibuprofen, speak to Dr. Cody Doyle in Roanoke, Tx about myofascial release therapy.

What is Myofascial Release Therapy?

Myofascial release is a type of hands-on treatment. Dr. Doyle massages or stretches the myofascial connective tissue (also known as the fascia) to provide relief from chronic pain or other symptoms. The therapy takes place over a larger area of the body to address the broader issue that is causing localized pain.

What can Myofascial Release Therapy treat?

Myofascial release therapy can be used in the treatment of:

  • Pain and stiffness in soft tissue
  • Loss of flexibility or tightness in the joints, for example back or neck pain
  • TMJ disorder
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome or other repetitive use injuries
  • Migraine headaches

What causes Myofascial pain?

You may remember seeing a poster in science class of the human muscular system. What that poster didn’t show was the fascia that holds everything together. The fascia is a web-like connective tissue that covers the muscles; it helps hold us in our “human shape.”

When the fascia is healthy, it lays over your muscles like a slippery, loosely knitted sweater. However, when the fascia is injured, this normally flexible tissue becomes tight. As a result, there is restricted blood flow, pain, and stiffness in the affected muscle. Your fascial tissue can become damaged as a result of overuse, as in the case of repetitive motions or poor posture, or from lack of activity.

Keeping in mind the sweater analogy, if you pull on the sleeve of your sweater and let go, it will keep its shape. However, if you pull on the sleeve of your sweater for an extended time, you will notice the sweater starts to pull at your neck and the sleeve of the sweater changes shape. The same theory applies to unhealthy fascia; damaged tissue in one area can have a ripple effect throughout your body. Our fascial tissue is naturally thicker in some areas than others, but overly thickened fascia can cause tightness and become the cause of pain and stiffness.

Is fascia damage permanent?

The good news is, all damage to the fascia is reversible, and re-injury is preventable. You can care for healthy fascia by regularly stretching, using a foam roller, and drinking plenty of water. If you have a desk job or stay in the same position for a long time, take breaks every hour or so and move around. A quick web search will provide plenty of stretches you can do right at your desk or workstation.

Who is a candidate for Myofascial Release Therapy?

Otherwise healthy people who are suffering from myofascial pain are good candidates for myofascial release therapy. It is not recommended for people with broken or weak bones, vein issues, or those taking blood thinners. Dr. Doyle will review your medical history to determine if you are a good candidate for myofascial release therapy.

If you are not familiar with chiropractic you may be wondering, how does it work? How can spinal adjustments treat symptoms that may occur in the foot, for example? All movement and function in the human body flows through the spine. All nerve functions flow through the spinal cord, as do all messages and impulses from the brain to the body. Misalignment of the vertebrae can lead to musculoskeletal or nerve dysfunction that may be felt in any part of the body. Correcting your back and neck alignment can improve your whole body’s efficiency in movement and function.

Schedule a Consultation to Learn More

If you are desperate to try something new to ease your pain, make an appointment with Dr. Cody Doyle. At your consultation, Dr. Doyle will ask about your condition and how it has been treated thus far. He will examine your affected area(s), and may take x-rays or digital imaging to get a better look at your bones and tissues. Before applying any chiropractic treatment, Dr. Doyle will fully explain his recommended approach to healing your condition, pain management, and/or recovering a healthier range of movement.

In some cases, patients may need multiple treatments before they feel relief. In others, some relief may be instantaneous. Depending on your condition, Dr. Doyle may also recommend complementary therapies to assist in healing and restoring proper function. This may include acupuncture, myofascial release therapy, ultrasound therapy, premodulated muscle stimulation, or others. Dr. Doyle has treated more than 100,000 patients in the past two decades, and has a unique approach to holistic and musculoskeletal healing. If you are serious about seeking relief from your medical condition, Doyle Chiropractic and Acupuncture will offer you a new avenue for treatment.

If you are worried about the cost of chiropractic treatments, ask your medical insurer about your coverage. Many policies cover chiropractic today, as it has proven to be an efficient way to reduce medical costs and dependence on prescriptions for pain management.
